Buying a new townhouse in Brisbane

Brisbane’s new townhouses cluster in two places: established suburbs within easy reach of the CBD, where boutique projects replace older homes, and the growth corridors north through Moreton Bay and south through Logan, where larger townhouse communities are often close to schools, shopping centres and train lines.

Many projects are sold off the plan, so check the expected completion date and exactly what’s included in the price. Queensland calls the owners’ group that manages shared areas a body corporate — ask for its budget and levies before you sign a contract.
